Academic Research Opportunities and Training at the UChicago Survey Lab
Opportunity Description:
The University of Chicago Survey Lab offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience. We are currently seeking students to join our team on a part-time basis. If you are interested in being involved with social and behavioral science research, we have paid positions for self-motivated, reliable students to serve as data collectors at the Survey Lab. This opportunity is invaluable to those who are considering graduate school or are interested in learning more about/engaging directly in research.
The Survey Lab mission is to (1) provide high-quality research and data collection services; and (2) create hands-on training opportunities in data collection for students.
The Survey Lab supports interdisciplinary research that addresses critical human and social problems at the local, national, and international levels through high-quality, cost-effective survey research services. For over 25 years, the Survey Lab has played a central role in advancing data collection efforts. In any given year, the Survey Lab supports over 20 projects from across the university, larger research community, and non-profit and government organizations. Services range from developing, designing, conducting and evaluating scientific surveys of the general public, to targeting specific populations such as high school students, cancer survivors, Veterans, medical professionals, and individuals enrolled in specific interventions or clinical trials. The Survey Lab works with a wide variety of data collection formats including telephone, mail, internet, interviews, focus groups, and field surveys.
