Assistant for Book Project: Managing Sources and Organizing Notes

Opportunity Description:


I am an American historian currently working on my manuscript, Reform in the Age of Capital: The Social Question in Nineteenth-century America. I need an assistant to help with (1) managing sources in an Endnotes library, including sorting and tagging entries; (2) updating my DevonThink library with archival documents (pdfs and photographs of documents). As the project evolves, I may also need help sorting through archives and notes for future chapters.

Primary Responsibilities: 

I need an assistant to help with (1) managing sources in an Endnotes library, including sorting and tagging entries; (2) updating my DevonThink library with archival documents (pdfs and photographs of documents). As the project evolves, I may also need help sorting through archives for future chapters.

Minimum Qualifications and/or Eligibility Requirements: 

Preferably an upper level undergraduate or early graduate student. Must have experience working with Endnotes. History major preferred.

Knowledge or skills gained from the experience: 

Organization of citations; organization of resources for writing projects; archival material sorting; an insight into how to structure a book project
