Research Assistant - Kaneesha Parsard

Assistant Professor of English Kaneesha Parsard is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to help with securing image permissions and high-resolution reproductions for her first book, an aesthetic history of family, work, and informal economies in the nineteenth and twentieth century British Caribbean. Skills required include organizing and familiarizing oneself with a list of necessary permissions and images; professional and timely email etiquette (for communicating with relevant art professionals and institutions); and processing necessary forms, invoices, etc. Students will gain insight into the art history of the Caribbean as well as the scope of global art museums, galleries, dealers, etc. that hold Caribbean art.

10 hours/week; paid
