Trimmer Travel Fund Award

The Trimmer Travel Award supports A&H undergraduate scholars in presenting their research at professional meetings.

The Council on Undergraduate Research’s Trimmer Travel Fund Award will support arts and humanities undergraduate scholars in presenting their research at professional meetings. The winner will receive an award of $1000.00 and recognition through CUR's media outlets and/or notifications through appropriate higher education publications. This award is supported by the CUR Arts and Humanities Endowment.

Awardees receive:

  • The honor of being recognized as a Arts and Humanities Trimmer Travel Fund Awardee
  • In addition, $1000 will be awarded to the recipient to be used on travel to a professional meetings to share their research.

Students must submit the following:

  1. Application form (name, contact info, name of institution, major (and minor if applicable), title of project to be presented, name, location, and date of conference where accepted, name and contact information of primary research mentor).
  2. Research abstract (no more than 300 words)
  3. Proof of conference acceptance (for an event between May-August 2022)
  4. Travel plan/budget with indication of any matching funding available
  5. Agreement (I will use the Trimmer Award, if given to me, to attend the above indicated conference. I will supply CUR with a photograph of myself participating in the conference which may be used for publicity purposes).
