If so, join us at the IOP for an information session about the Truman Scholarship for Public Service, which provides $30,000 in funding for graduate studies to students who will pursue a career in public service. In this session, we will discuss what the Truman Foundation is looking for in competitive candidates, what makes for a strong application, and how to prepare for the University of Chicago campus nomination process. This session is designed for current 1st- and 2nd-years who anticipate a career in public service and who are interested in learning more about the scholarship program. In order to be eligible to apply for campus nomination in September 2023, you must be a third-year student (i.e. a junior with at least two full years before graduation) who holds US citizenship, is US national, or who expects to hold US citizenship before the award is granted in April 2024.
