College Summer Research Fellows Fund

NOTICE: Travel Advisory and Planning for “Remote” Research: the COVID-19 outbreak may continue to limit summer travel, in-person research, or research with human subjects. If your College Summer Research Fellows Fund research proposal involves travel of any kind (domestic or international), please make clear in your proposal that you can carry out your research without traveling, if necessary. Similarly, you may be required to carry out your research remotely. Please also include a clear statement about how your research can transition to “remote” if necessary.  

Be advised that we reserve the right to categorically deny funding for a research proposal that depends exclusively on travel (domestic or international) or on interaction with human subjects, as well as with lab-based research IF research facilities may remain closed during the summer.

The College Summer Research Fellows Fund provides $5000 grants to support full-time summer research opportunities for undergraduate students who plan to pursue a doctoral degree in a liberal arts or science field.

Eligible candidates are rising 2nd-year to rising 4th-year College students from any major who have secured an unfunded faculty-mentored summer undergraduate research position at an academic institution.
