2020 College Summer Institute

2020 College Summer Institue in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

The College Summer Institute (CSI) in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences provides selected undergraduates the opportunity to undertake intensive intellectual training and research with accomplished scholars and peers at UChicago. Summer Institute Scholars will collaborate closely with a small cohort of faculty across humanistic disciplines to develop original research projects centered on the interdisciplinary theme of the Institute.

The 2020 CSI theme is The Place of Water: histories, presence, and futures. The CSI is open to rising 3rd- and 4th-year College students from all disciplines interested in pursuing humanistic inquiry into the Institute's theme. All participating Scholars will receive a $3000 grant.
