Taiwan Student (UCTS) Exchange Program

Opportunity Description:

The UCTS program was initiated in 2023 and aims to enhance research collaboration between the University of Chicago and Taiwan. In 2025, we supported exchange of 38 students from UChicago, NTU, NTHU, and NCKU, to perform 3-month summer research.

In 2026 we aim to exchange 30 or more undergrad/graduate students from Taiwan and 15 students from University of Chicago. 

Support for the 2026 fellows will cover summer tuition, fees and housing. We will work with students’ home and host institutes to seek sponsorship and facilitate registration and needed visa application. Students coming to Univ. Chicago will be enrolled in the non-degree visiting student (NDVS) program.

Primary Responsibilities: 

This program is designed for students interested in deepening their scientific training, gaining hands-on research experience, and building international academic networks.
