Research Assistant for Prof. Dorian Abbot

Opportunity Description:

As the climate warms the precipitation pattern transitions from
quasi-steady to dramatic nonlinear oscillations through a Hopf
Bifurcation. The goal of this project is to study the effect of this
project on weathering, the process through which CO2 is removed from
the atmosphere. This is important for understanding how Earth stayed
habitable through its history, extrasolar planet climates, and Earth's
future climate.

The student should have some background in math and
physics as well as some experience programming, preferably with
Python.
