Are you seeking an opportunity for research and training in qualitative methods? Do you have a strong interest in exploring topics related to youth development, identity, gender, race, and equality? The Development of Identities and Cultural Environments (DICE) Lab is seeking undergraduate research assistants to join our team. About Us: The DICE Lab is directed by Dr. Onnie Rogers, a faculty member in the Department of Comparative Human Development. Dr. Rogers is a developmental psychologist and identity scholar whose research curiosities converge at the intersection of human development, diversity and equity, and education. At the DICE lab, we investigate the development of identities and intersectionality among youth in diverse cultural environments. Our research addresses critical questions such as:

• How do children and adolescents conceptualize their racial and gender identities within intersecting systems of oppression and privilege?

• What factors influence adolescents' understanding of and resistance to stereotypes?

• What are the implications of youth identities for their psychosocial, relational, wellbeing and academic trajectories?

Position Overview: At the DICE Lab, we provide the chance to contribute to impactful research projects from your own space. As a Research Assistant, your duties may involve:

• Contributing to data analysis using qualitative methods.

• Participating in research team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

• Collaborating with researchers (undergraduates, graduate students, community scholars, postdocs, and faculty) in ongoing research projects and qualitative data analysis.

• Participating in enriching and action-oriented discussions of research findings related to identity, gender, race, and equality among diverse young people.
