Research Assistant for Outpatient Mental Health Services

Dani Adams, a PhD Candidate in the Crown School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, is looking for a research assistant to work on various functions for her dissertation research project. Her dissertation is focused on assessing the accessibility of community-based outpatient mental health services for adolescents. Duties for the position will include conducting surveys by phone, data entry, data cleaning, and transcription of qualitative interviews.

This position runs through the end of Spring Quarter 2021, though the bulk of the work conducting surveys with mental health agencies by phone will need to happen in March. Applicants should expect to work 10-15 hours a week during March, with fewer hours expected in April and May. Compensation will range from $14 to $16/hour depending on prior experiences and education level. Undergraduates are encouraged to apply. Opportunities for scholarly contributions and letter of recommendation are available conditional on RAs level of contribution.

Minimum Qualifications and/or Eligibility Requirements: 

Strong preference will be given to applicants with a background in social science research, experience supporting research studies, and research interest in the dissertation topic - improving access to mental health services for adolescents. Preference will also be given to individuals who can prioritize this project in March.
