Research opportunity for undergraduate students who have a keen interest in understanding the intersections of race and health using qualitative and quantitative data.

I am an Instructor in Public Health Sciences and my work explores that physiological and biological mechanisms by which racial inequities shape population health and health disparities. The majority of my work focuses on how race, migration, and class intersect to shape the the health of US-born and immigrant Latinxs across the lifecourse. I am eager to interact with undergraduate students who have a keen interest in understanding the intersections of race and health using qualitative and quantitative data. I consider myself a hands-on-mentor with an interest in advancing your expertise and skills in research. Please contact me if you are interested in engaging in one of my projects.
