The Leon Golden Undergraduate Research Fellowship

Supports students majoring in Classical Studies to conduct a original research.

The fellowship is intended to enable undergraduates majoring in Classical Studies to develop an original research project in the field or to pursue training in ancillary studies that will enrich their work in classics

Deadline Information

To apply for the Fellowship, please submit to our Administrative Assistant, Kathy Fox, by the Monday of second week of Spring Quarter of third year:: Monday, April 5, 2021

Responsibilities

A written report of what was accomplished during the period of the Fellowship must be submitted to the Director of Undergraduate Studies by the first week of the following Autumn Quarter.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must submit to the Classics Secretary  a transcript, a statement (2-3 pages) outlining their project together with a provisional budget, and a letter from a faculty supervisor.

This Fellowship is limited to Classics majors and it requires that a student have a well-developed project by the time of application.
