American Chemical Society Scholars Program
ACS awards up to $5,000 in renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply.
Applications for the ACS Scholars Program are accepted from November 1 until March 31 of the following calendar year.

Eligibility Requirements
- High school seniors, first-, second-, and third-year college students with a GPA of at least 3.0 and who are members of under represented (African-American, Hispanic, Native American) minority groups are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, or a similar field.
Note: Students planning careers in medicine or pharmacy are not eligible to apply.

Application Process
First-year applicants should request a supplemental letter from their College Adviser or other appropriate person who can describe the College's general education requirements.
